Perched upright on a sunlit tree, the vernal hanging parrot glowed like an emerald gem - bathed in magical golden light, deep within the forests of Munnar. Known for its acrobatics, this one chose stillness, vertical and proud, giving me a rare moment to frame its quiet brilliance.
The only parrot species found in India, it’s often hidden in the canopy - quick, elusive, almost impossible to capture like this. But in that instant, it paused, and the forest held its breath.
