From the grassland floor to the endless sky, he rose - a giant of Africa, captured from a low angle that made him look as though he was kissing the clouds. Shot at 70mm, close and personal, he looked straight into me - curious, calm, and majestic.
The savannah stretched beneath him, the sky opened above, and in between stood the unmistakable giant of the wild. This is Africa - raw, grand, and humbling.
