There’s something about a lioness’s gaze - fierce, protective, and impossibly deep. She stood close, her cub just behind her, but it was her eyes that held me. Hazel, intense, and utterly unflinching.
 
We met at eye level - a moment so still, so raw, it sent a shiver through me. She wasn’t just watching; she was measuring, a mother with the weight of the wild in her stare. Bathed in golden savannah light, she looked like the soul of the land itself.
